Problems of diminishing natural resources and widespread
poverty are compounded by high population growth rates,
soil depletion from poor farming methods, and
deforestation to supply fuel and farming land.
Planting trees on degraded lands will make land more
productive, restore wildlife corridors and will promote
the use of buffer zones around forest sites.
We focus on the Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions where
tree planting is normally done from November to March as
it depends on the rainy season. However, it can also be
arranged for late July and early August as we also have
a short rainy season at this time.
This project requires your help with buying tree
seedlings as well as planting them.
Agama Expeditions will give 10% of it's profits annually
to support this community project.
